2. Killers of Destiny  

As a child of God with a purpose in life, you must realize that your destiny is one the enemy will try to kill. Sadly, many people don’t even try to resist these killers probably because they don’t recognize them.

For purposes of emphasis, if you allow these killers to work in your life, you will never reach your destiny. These are the killers of destiny;

1. Pride: Pride is perhaps the greatest of all destiny killers and greatest of all sins. It is the origin of all sins. It boasts of places it has never been. It says that it has accomplished things it has never done. If nothing else can destroy your destiny pride can. E.g Lucifer (brightness) or the star of the morning, Lucifer was a celebrated angel who made the tragic choice to become lifted up in pride. The same way he became lifted up in pride is the same that many people are lifted up in pride. (Isaiah 14:12-14). The Bible says that pride goesth before destruction and a naughty spirit before a fall (Proverb 16:18). Pride will level you to the lowest pit of life. Beware of this killer called pride because it will kill your destiny every time. Phrases like self made millionaire and self made success are all products of a proud life. Pride is really the root of everything that could kill your destiny.

2. Laziness: You need initiative and productivity in order to fulfill your destiny. A lazy person doesn’t have any self-motivation and must be forced to work that is why poverty and lack are always evident in the life of the lazy man. (Proverbs 6:6-11). A lazy person rests even before he gets tired. God is calling us to be diligent and passionate about life. 1 Peter 1:10 says “wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure for if you do these things, ye shall not fall.”

3. Jealousy : There is another killer called jealousy. This particular killer is often difficult to recognize because it is resident in people closest to you like family friends and relatives, it strikes when you least expect it. Proverbs 13:3.

4. Ignorance: When you don’t know about your destiny. You are likely to abuse, pervert and forfeit it with your own hands example is a man who had the largest diamond field in the world but sold it because he didn’t know what he had.
